Intonga Siviwe, a rural boy, is confronted to the ways of the big city boys when he arrives to his new school in East London. To make matters worse Thando, a school beauty, is attracted to him, which creates tension between him and "Knuckles" the local bully who is also interested in Thando. When Father Duze decides to take Siviwe under his wing and teach him some boxing the story goes to another level.
